About us

PDTH – Portugal Digital Technology for Health Association is an association established on November 14, 2024, at the initiative of the University of Aveiro, the University of Beira Interior, the University of Coimbra, and Inova-Ria (Associação de Empresas para uma Rede de Inovação em Aveiro).

Its mission is to promote the positioning of the Centro Region as a leading cluster in the field of technology-based medical devices, with national, European, and international reach. In this context, PDTH acts as a unifying force, fostering collaboration among the various stakeholders across the associative, scientific, technological, and healthcare ecosystems.

To achieve this goal, the association carries out a structured set of initiatives designed to strengthen the sector, including the organization of specialized events, conferences, and seminars; the promotion of collaboration agreements and strategic partnerships; and the creation of thematic networks and knowledge-dissemination initiatives in the field of medical devices. These actions aim to foster qualified networking, stimulate the development of business opportunities, and strengthen knowledge sharing within the regional ecosystem.

PDTH operates primarily in national and European markets, maintaining a strategic focus on enhancing and consolidating the Centro Region as an innovation hub. It conducts its activities autonomously and independently, ensuring a neutral institutional approach aligned with the collective interests of the sector.
