Privacy Policy and Personal Data Protection

Thank you for your interest in our website. Portugal Digital Technology for Health Association (PDTH) is committed to protecting the visitor’s data and using it only for the established purposes. Thus, the following policy has been developed to inform you about the processing of your personal data and your rights regarding this processing according to the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - GDPR) and the law implementing the GDPR into national law (Law No. 58/2019, of August 8).

Personal data means any type of information that allows a person to be identified, directly or indirectly. Examples of personal data include name, address, telephone number, passport number, photographs and IP address, among others.

Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

The organization responsible for the processing of your personal data that is collected by the website https://www.pdth.pt is PDTH - Portugal Digital Technology for Health Association, located at Estrada Municipal 506, 6200-284 Covilhã, Portugal.

What personal data are collected/processed during your use of our website?

The only personal data collected is that which you voluntarily provide to us when you use the contact forms or subscribe to the newsletter on the website, specifically:

  • Name: to identify the data subject and personalize our response;
  • Email address: to respond to your message or request and, if you subscribe to the newsletter, to send you communications from PDTH.

Data submitted through the contact forms is collected and processed solely for the purpose of responding to the message or request you have submitted and is not used for any other purpose without your prior consent.

The legal basis for processing this data is the legitimate interest of the PDTH Association, insofar as it is necessary to respond to the message or request submitted by the data subject (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

Newsletter subscription

By subscribing to the newsletter and selecting the consent checkbox, you authorize PDTH to send news, events, and opportunities to the email address you provide. The form sends your subscription data to MailerLite, the platform used to manage the subscriber list and send these communications.

You may withdraw your consent using the unsubscribe link included in the emails or by contacting geral@pdth.pt. For information about how the platform processes data, please consult the MailerLite Privacy Policy.

Who will have access to your data?

Only PDTH Association employees directly involved in fulfilling the purpose for which the data has been collected will have access to the personal data you submit through our website. When you subscribe to the newsletter, your data is sent to MailerLite for the purpose described above. Apart from this, the PDTH Association will not disclose your personal data to other entities, unless required by law or by the competent authorities.

For how long are your personal data stored?

Personal data provided through the contact forms will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was processed and will be deleted no later than 6 months after the matter is closed.

How secure are your stored personal data?

Any personal data provided to us on this website will be processed by the PDTH Association with the guarantees of security and confidentiality, as required by the Laws that regulate the Protection of Personal Data. Therefore, PDTH Association has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data provided to us is adequately protected, preventing any loss of confidentiality, integrity and accessibility. These measures include, but are not limited to access control, encryption, segregation of duties, etc.

What rights do you have regarding your personal data?

As a data subject, you can contact our Data Protection Officer at any time, using the contact information mentioned above, to make use of your rights. Depending on the purpose of the processing, these rights are the following:

  1. Right to information and access - the right to be informed about the processing of your data and to obtain a copy of the data being processed;
  2. Right to rectification - the right to demand the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data;
  3. Right to erasure - the right to demand deletion of your personal data;
  4. Right to restriction of processing - the right to demand the restriction of the data processing;
  5. Right to data portability - the right to receive the personal data concerning the data subject in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to request the transmittance of these data to another controller;
  6. Right to objection - the right to object to the data processing;
  7. Right to withdraw consent - the right to withdraw a given consent at any time to stop data processing (from then onwards) that is based on your consent.

With whom can you file a complaint?

As a data subject you have the right to file a complaint about our use of your information to Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, the competent national supervisory authority, at https://www.cnpd.pt or by mail to Rua de São Bento n.º 148-3.º, 1200-821 Lisboa.

How often is this Privacy Policy updated?

This privacy policy will be reviewed and updated whenever deemed necessary. The date of this document will be updated each time it is altered.
