Founded in 1973, the University of Aveiro (UA) is currently one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in Portugal. In turn, the Department of Medical Sciences of the University of Aveiro, which offers the integrated master’s program in medicine, reinforces the university’s commitment to distinguished medical education and research, contributing to the development of advanced solutions in the health sector.

Within the framework of the interdepartmental programs for the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Biomedical Engineering, there is a well-established track record in training, research, and the development of medical devices.

At the same time, participation in the Egas Moniz Health Alliance Academic and Clinical Center strengthens collaboration between academic institutions, healthcare facilities, and research centers, driving innovation and knowledge transfer.

Through its strategic partnerships combined with its technical expertise, UA ensures an effective link between academia, industry, and regulatory bodies.
